Living Contrast Series
This is a first time I’ve titled my pieces by numbers. Though I was thinking of a lot of life contrasts when I was creating this series, I found myself letting it go of any words. The feelings expressed with the shapes, visual textures and colors have become my words. In the design aspect of art there are the elements and principles that spread across all creative artforms. As many ways a person creates that is as many ways as possible these elements and principles can be visible in the Living Contrast of life itself. I’m expressing contrast in ways not just with light and dark which is value but size and shape, flat or texture, bold color no color, straight form no form. I always drawn to using these elements and principles in ways I’ve not done before. As an artist and creative maker, the contrast in living life stimulate, challenge and excite. The reflections of inner self add to the design mystery of contrast expressed in this pieces. These piece have been completed in the first three weeks of January 2023
