Description
Amanita muscaria or fly agaric is often referred to as the lucky mushroom. In Germany, it is literally called a lucky mushroom or Glückspilz. The mushroom in nature is highly poisoned but so rare to be found that it became a good luck omen. The Amanita muscaria mushroom is easy to identify with its white toadstool and bright red and white cap. It's toxic - dangerously poisonous and should never be consumed. It is best left to be enjoyed and respected for its beauty and symbol to bring good luck into the new year. It has long been a tradition to give good luck charms such as the lucky mushroom as gifts, especially for New Years, as housewarming and graduations.
