Description
This is actually the same hen ( I call them "girls") painted in two different positions. She was from our first batch of ten chickens we got when we first moved to our piece of property. We actually ordered them as chicks off of a web site. Our boys, who were 9 and 11 at the time, thought it was pretty nifty that you could mail order chickens. Since they were our first batch, they received quite a bit of handling and were very approachable. This girl, in particular, was very affectionate and always came out to greet me when I fed them in the morning.
