Artist's Description

When I was given the theme of "spirited away" to create a new painting, the image that entered my mind was a scene of a baby and an otherworldly woman riding through a snow storm, on a reindeer with bells on its antlers. They may be passing from one world into another, accompanied by some curious red cardinals. I love the winter palette, and wanted to create a painting evocative of a winter's fairy story.
