Description
Painted in 1925. Colorful rock formations of Bryce Canyon, especially on the right side of the painting. Large Pine tree in the left foreground. Formations include many resembling organ pipes, the “Cat and the Fiddle,” and Queen Victoria. L. A. Ramsey is said to have been the first artist to paint Bryce Canyon and bring it to public notice outside of the Southern Utah area. He did many paintings of it. A few were published and many were sold at the park or by commission. This painting currently hangs in the Springville Art Museum in Springville, Utah.
